I feel blessed and deeply grateful for family and friends celebrating and showering us with love. It was an entertaining energetic evening, and a fabulous kick start for a rocking 2023!
6:30p was the time, and driving along the rain soaked highways made us concerned of being late ourselves. Settling into Amber’s lower party hall was a breeze, and the place resembled more of a cozy, elegant and comfortable living room. 🏩
Traditional elegance, grace, glitter and glamour made for a potent and heady mix with drinks to get the evening going. Reuniting in the new year with smiles and hugs warmed our souls.
Amber’s yummy सीख kebab, पनीर tikka, fresh पापड़ी, and crisp समोसे vetted our appetites.
Evening celebrations started with Murali touching our hearts with his rendition of दिल हूँ हूँ करे. The romantic atmosphere further deepened with Supreet and Neetu’s duet song of आते जाते. Kislay’s ode to our enduring friendship with his song यारो दोस्ती बड़ी ही हसीन further tugged on our heart strings. 💖 💞 🎤
A sizzling and fun dance medley from Sonal, Priya and Conrad: मेरी जान, किसी डिस्को में जाए, मै तो रस्ते पे जा रहा था, put everyone in playful and lighthearted spirits. Abhai & Mitu amped up the party with an energetic dance performance on शोला जो भड़के दिल मेरा धड़के and जय जय शिव शंकर! ⚡ 💥 👯 ✨
Murali got everyone in splits with his poem recital of इसको अंकल कहने वाले, तुम्हारी ऐसी की तैसी! 😆 😀 🎤
Abhai’s melodious rendition of the sensual sizzler रूप तेरा मस्ताना got everyone’s pulses racing and the dance floor on fire! 🎤 🔥
Puja & Alka kept the party turned on with राधा on the dance floor and फिल्म तू कैसे देखेगी!! 👯 ✨
As we were digging into dinner, Nidhi pulled off another surprise, and we had Tatiana Werya sashay in a glittering dress with flowing fans. 👯 💥
Tatiana is sensual and energetic, and the energy level of the party soared! Tatiana’s inviting and open nature pulled everyone on to their feet, and got us all trying to belly dance, and getting a great workout.
After trying to dance with Tatiana on आज लूटा लूटा फरेबी बातो ने, I developed a deep respect for the belly dancing craft (and discovered I have two left feet 😆)! 👯 💥
It was an amazing evening, and I thank and wish all my friends the best and funnest year of their lives so far!
